Fund raiser for Cale

What would you guys think about a small fund raiser for Cale? If 100 people sent $10, that would cover his rest and stool. It's just $10, which is nothing these days, but it would sure help Cale. Either a check could be sent, or we could each paypal the funds to him. I think it's a good idea. When a friend has stuff taken from him, we all suffer. This is a way to make each of us feel better.

Mike, I'll gladly give some money to that cause.
On another point, several years ago I suggested a fund be set up with a buck or 2 from the match fees and from donations for bailing out BR shooters with medical problems....................didn't get much of a response about that one.

Count me in too. I have Cale's address, but will let him decide if he wants to post it. Burton and Pat Ferrell are good friends with Cale. Pat is the business mgr of NBRSA. I suppose any funds could be sent to Pat, marked for Cale.

I am lost for words..................... Are there any better people in the world than Benchrest competitors...!

I have been made such VERY kind offers & help... What a great bunch'a guys and gals..!

Ed Adams, Butch Fjoser and I too believe that no one whom will grab (theft) an $800 rest off a bench AND take a <$50.00 stool with it does not make sence....!?!...... Though I could be wrong..God I hope not!

It just makes sence that it was loaded by mistake and contact 2 ways is the barrier...

As far as home owners insurance, my deductable is = to a new Farley.

Mike, I did get a phone call from you but the message was pretty garbled and I didn't get a phone num in my phone to return.
It was great meeting you at Raton that 30-30 was real neat..! Not to mention your beautifully crafted action...! NICE!

I would like to say something right now..! Anyone new to Benchrest and to Benchrest Central.... These sort of things are rare... TRUST & INTEGRITY IS the reality of this sport... People whom would give the shirt off there backs to help their fellow competitor IS REAL!

I will pass on info as I and others gather...

It would appear that Cale is being taken care of very well on a new Farley rest. Thanks to all who have helped him. Anyone wishing to contact him for more details, feel free to do so. He may still be in need of a few more dollars, but not sure.

How are you getting the money to Cale? Ralph Stewart and the Denton gang are doing something for Cale also but I can't get in touch with Ralph. I just got back from New Mexico last night and am behind on whats being done. I think the Farleys are cutting him a deal also on a new rest, supposed to be ready inside a week. I have an old address for Cale, I suppose it is still good. Anyone want it email or PM me, as I will not post it. I think at this point there is no doubt that the items were flat out stolen, no mistake. What a lowlife would do that.

Is going to be giving me a call. He mentioned to me in an email about the Denton guys and about the Farley also helping out. What he did not mention was whether or not he is still in need of additional funds. He has however said that he has recieved over 30 offers to help him. Now we just need Cale to give his address and let us know where he stands to date.

According to Cale, things appear to be taken care of. He has recieved much help from the Farley's and the guys in the Denton area. If anyone still wishes to send funds for things like a new stool, or simply a small amount to reimburse him for long distance and mental frustrations, I have listed the address below. Any overage would be donated to a charity such as the Sutton Foundation.

You are a great guy. I have Cales home address but was reluctant to post it until Cale gave me permission. Sorry I didn't get over to Cloudcroft to visit you when I was in Ruidoso. Would like to have seen your operation. The action you built was super nice.

For those that haven't met Michael, he had a beautiful rifle at Raton. He built the action and it is a full race benchrest rifle. Chambered in 30-30 Win of all things. Shoots kind of like a 30BR.
