Well Gents...

Does anyone have a rifle that has a full length bedding and have won a competition with such a rig?

Do you have any organized BR shooting in Denmark?

No, unfortunately not...

But we are a handfull of people that would like to see BR shooting diciplines in Denmark... I know that Sweeden has BR matches...

I've seen a bunch

Don't think I've ever seen one bedded all the way and only one or two bedded a few inches in front of the action.

Maybe their talking about a floated action with the barrel held in blocks bedded to the stock.

A gazillion years ago (late 60s maybe), there was a lot of talk around this side of the world about damping barrel vibrations with various pourable or injectable products.

Apart from the asthetics, it was reported to have some benefit with whippy sporter barrels but nobody I knew with a bench rig was willing to be the sacrificial lamb (goat?) & try it.

full length bedding

experments were done by the us air force with full bedding barrels. the actions were floating. this led to sleeves years ago to increase bedding area.
The air force did pretty well for a while. I think later it was tried with
different results in benchrest. I also have seen barrel blocks in stocks years ago with fair results. Boy i'm getting old"'
