Fulghum Front Rest

I read the article in Accurate Shooter (http://www.accurateshooter.com/gear-reviews/randolph-machine-belt-drive-front-rest/) about this rest and was wondering if anyone has first hand experience with one. Also, how it compares with any other rest you may have had. Comments on Coaxial vs Dials, etc? Thanx

Excellent made rest. You can operate both windage and elevation at the same time by using the edge of your hand to roll the windage knob and your thumb and index finger to adjust elevation. Movements are smooth and precise as it appears to have no backlash in the adjustment screws.

Comparing it to a Farley. It is equal in quality and workmanship. It is a little slower to operate but only minimal. It is alot easier to change in between bags to shoot different rifle, just loosen the 2 thumb screws and change out tops. They also offer the adjustable top. In my opinion the small sand bags in the adjustable top are a little to hard but you only need one top to shoot different types of rifles. At the lowest elevation it is higher than the Farley making it necessary to run a rear bag spacer or higher rear bag, depending on stock design.

I have both rests and mainly run the Randolph in Rimfire benchrest, main reason is stock design and also maybe to cheap to buy a rear bag spacer. I run the Farley in CF just due to fact of not needing to change out tops and the speed to move from sighter to scoring targets.
