Fulghum Front Rest

I'm looking for comments on Ken Fulghum's Front Rest. If you've used it in either 100/200 yards Group or Score competition. I know you guys use them in your rimfire competitions but I was wondering if anyone has used them in the short range 100/200 yard centerfire matches. Pros and Cons would be appreciated. :)

There are 3 or 4 in use at the RF matches I attend. I think I will try and borrow one for the next CF group match in Sept. I am going to use one of my joystick rests at this Saturday's score match :)

I only shoot rimfire, but have a couple friends using one for 100/200 CF score matches.

It's a very stable rest. Just a shade over 20 lbs.
One of the best, if not the best, non-joystick rest out there.

His standard top accepts both Edgewood and Protektor bags.
His new top is width adjustable with a skinny built in sandbag.

The elevation and windage knobs are big, easy to use, and the movement is very precise.

It's made to cover a rimfire target at 50 yrds, so covering anything at 100/200 is a breeze.

The advertising says that " the TOP is allowed to SWIVEL on the elevation base to allow for excellent repeatability when returning to target." Does anyone know what that is all about?

If it does that means the pressure on either side of the forend remains constant across the full width of the target face. Oh, Well, one less excuse, sigh.

Hi art
i have one and love it yes the swivel top lets you turn the rest a little left or right i shoot at a club that has 2 oc 2x6 for the top i just turn my rest a little left and too is still straight with back bag

Ken designed the rest to free float on the front and thats the way I use mine. However you can lock it simply but turning 1 screw if thats what you prefer. I tried several before this one and I don't need to look anymore.

fulgrum rest

I have one and its the best for rimfire, but when I try to use it for centerfire .308 or larger it moves around neil

Gentlemen ...

Thanks for your comments. I decided to go with a Loh Rest since it's more aligned with centerfire "B"enchrest. Thanks again. Art :)

Just Asking???

What are the advantages you see in the JJ Loh rest over the Fulghum rest that "align" it better to Centerfire?
