Front Rest

I am gathering ideas and suggestions for what shooters would like to see in a new front rest. Heads up shooters have trouble with joystick rests and most other tops/rests are in my opinion slow to use. Good rests are also getting hard to find.

Take a hard look at the Fulghum and you will see what works, for me anyway. bob finger

I gave you an answer on the centerfire forum. A quality joystick rest doesn't move. Your saying that they push their rifle to battery and fire without looking is very foolish. You may get by with it on an unlimited rest, but a rest with sandbags will not do that everytime regardless of the quality.

Butch,
A whole lot of rimfire shooters do just what the guy said, and do very well (like win)with that method using a Fulghum front rest or Loggins front rest.

Me, I like to watch my bullets hit the target, but on a day when the wind is switching a lot, the heads up method lets you watch the flags more closely.

Kent,
Do they have sandbags with sand in them or do they have delrin guides? I shoot headsup, but I would not shoot without glancing through my scope first.

Edgewood rear bags loaded with heavy black sand is most of what is used, I'd guess. That's most of what I see. Like I said, I like to watch 'em hit the paper, but on bad windy days the heads up stuff does work, and it does kinda take the stress out of watching it hit, or miss too. You hear the sighs when they look back into the scope:)

Butch exactly, the folks I've seen use the system DO indeed glance through their scope, and then look back up at the flags and then touch the trigger if everything is like they want it to be. The just aren't looking through the scope when they pull the trigger. Thats what I meant, sorry for the confusion.
