Found Primers!!!

So I am in North Dakota on a business trip and decide to go to the local sporting goods store. I am over checking out the gun section when I discover federal GMM205 and federal GMM210 primers in a locked up case! To the other customers that do not apparently load there own ammunition it must have looked like I just discovered oil in my backyard. Needless to say I bought as many as they would allow and now I am the proud new owner of 4000 205GMM primers and 4000 210GMM primers. Lucky me.:D

Caution: this story is a hoax!! There is no business in North Dakota!!

Lots of 205M's and Wolf SR Mag at Rachels Glen last weekend. If any of you know how to find Jim Andress, he's covered up with them.

This must be the reason why North Dakota is the only State in the fifty States that did not add to the unemployment numbers, nobody is there.

Sure there are businesses in NoDak, the downhill ski industry is a major contributor to the state's econlmy.

Wind Business

Wind is the business I am in and business is good in ND. We might as well put wind turbines in ND the state isn't any good for anything else. I am going home today and truly can not see how people would want to live here, the landscape is so depressing.

I'm reminded of the T-shirt, all white with a telephone pole and bit of barbedwire fence stating "Ski North Dakota!" Did you know that Minot, and Grand Forks Air force bases are considered "Hardship " tours by the Air Force, like Greenland or Antarctica? (could be true). I flew into Grand Forks Commercail Airport one winter. There was a sea of white as far as you could see. Ground drifting snow. Out of this vast wasteland appeared an isolated dark gray patch, an island, the City of Grand Forks. It was depressing.

There's waaaay more!

My sister's husband is from there and there's waaaaay more in ND. There's bitter cold and snow in winter - long desolate drives to nowhere in particular - and roads that lead out of state.

All the statements above are true. There is nobody here, no hunting, no fishing, no great schools, no great economy, no way can you drive from one end of town (100K plus in the major metro area) in 15 minutes or less. No fresh air, cant see the stars at night, no great work ethic... Nobody will help you pull your car outta the ditch, give ya gas, give you a ride, make sure you have eaten, make sure your wheat is combined, fields tilled & worst of all, No Common Sense.....;)

Nope cant see any reason anyone would want to live here, its just too barren and cold.. :D:p:D:p

Thanks

Thanks for sticking up for us Nodak7mm but now you have let the cat out of the bag. I have lived all over and North Dakota is now my home, plenty of hunting, fishing and things to do. The winters are tough but makes you appreciate the summers and makes for good coyote hunting.

I once spent two years in Central Afirica building a hospital. When I came back I was broke, in debt, my wife was suffering from cronic malaria, I had no job, no home, nothing. I said Lord, I will go anywhere you want me to go and do anything you wnat me to do, but if you dont mind, I would like to go someplace where I can hunt and fish. For the last 19 years I have been in Mandan, ND. The one thing I forgot to ask for was the time and resources to take advantage of all that is avalable. You cannot take advantage of everything available and still make a living. You can hunt and fish year around out here and not fight the traffic. My daughter taught school in Miami for 8 years, finally called and said I want to come home. Not making near the money but wild horses could not drag here back to the cities. Stay where you are, all the more for us natives

I currently live in Southern California, When I was a tractor trailor driver I have the pleasure of driving through both Dakotas, Wyoming and Montana. That is some of the prettiest country on the world. If I wasn't so
chicken sh!t about real winter weather ( we don't have that in SoCal) I would pack up my family and head to Gods country. Now If I could only get half the population of SoCal to leave.

What cold? Thats just natures way of keeping the riff raff out and weeding out the wussies.... :D:D:D

I have moved enough around the states and have made this observation many times: Each state has its own beauty and as citizens of this great and fantastic country, we sometimes forget natures beauty & bounty can be right in your own backyard..

But it sure is cool living back in my home state that has less people in the entire state than the last city I lived in... :p

I was just trying to get a rise out of you guys. I was raised up there. About 20 miles east of GF on the MN side. Fall is great, but very short. Its the six weeks of "tough sledding" in the spring that got me down. Frost goes down eight feet into the ground and it takes a while to warm up in the spring.

Papaul,

No offense taken and none was intended towards other posters. just having fun myself... :D

I know your homeland well.. I too was raised on both sides of the river up der, dontchya know... Left soon as I could and spent next 20yrs trying to get back..

Sounds like you took your sled west to the friday fish fry too...;)
