Recently, three apparent hunter bench rest stocks for a Remington 700 came up for auction on ebay. The seller said they were found in a storage locker. I bought one, and I am not sure what I have. It is molded from some sort of plastic or nylon looking material and doesn't appear to be laid up. It is black, with little silver sparkles in it. It has a Decelerator-type butt pad that says "Six Enterprises" in fine print, so I guess it's a Lee Six stock. In the magazine well is written "Tony Inc." in silver paint. It is of a normal bench rest configuration with a 2 1/16" wide forend. I'm going to bed a Remington 700 SPS .308 in it and try it in IBS Score hunter class. I'm always looking for new ways to stink. Anyone got any history on this stock? Anyone care to recommend a mild but accurate .308 load and bullet for Hunter class at 100 and 200 yards?

Try 10X 125 grain bullets on the 1.08 jacket and 42.5 grains of VV 135 powder. This load is very good in the 30X47 but may need more powder in the full size 308. Also VV130 works in the mid to upper 30's (grains) with smaller bullets.
