I am making 260 remington brass from 308 lapua . Here is my plan so far any comments or help would be much appreciated. I was going to run them through a 7mm 08 die then a full length 260 die. i plan on neck turning them should i do this in there current 308 configuration or wait till i am done getting them to the 260 size . i am going to fire form them to my chamber then neck size only with a bushing die. i am going to follow a very nice article they had in 6mmbr website on general brass prep for long range shooting. thanks john

Iv'e reformed 308 Lapua to 260 with no problems.
I didn't turn necks. I used a 7-08 die without expander
as an intermediate forming die. This will alow you to
leave a secondary or "doughnut" shoulder for fire-forming.
You could turn necks @ 308, 284, or 264. Depending
on which mandrel you have.
The new brass -all new brass- will probably be shorter
than your chamber. The secondary shoulder is mandatory.
Just seating a bullet long will NOT keep the case head
against the bolt face when fire-forming!
I'm sure someone typed faster than me,and I probably
left something out, if any questions, just ask.
