I'm getting ready to set up to flute barrels in a vertical mill. If anyone has pictures of how you did it and could post them I would really appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the pics, what are you using to hold the barrel in the index fixture? I guess the tail piece moves so you can match the taper of a barrel?

I use a 5C collet or a small chuck. Everything moves. I made the tailstock. I use a magnetic base and indicator to line the barrel up. Tapered flutes look pretty good also.
