Floating barrel or slight fore end pressure

I just made the post about the stock that was painted in the bedded area, I have it back together and ready to test fire and noticed that there is some pressure on the fore end that may or may not have been there before. Question, does any serious centerfire benchrest shooter ever use fore end pressure or are they all floating the barrel?

The simple answer is no. Or at least I have never seen one. The ones I have seen or dealt with are all floated. I think it will cause more problems as the barrel heats up.
