Just noticed that I have not updated the match schedule to show Cloverhill's match on Sept 6th at 6:00 pm Central time in Salem, AL .

This match is an indoor match. Salem is a small town between Opelika, AL and Columbus , GA. The range is on Highway 280 East.

Call me if you need directions 334-341-2458

There's another range in a small town called Salem shooting AGBR? Cool! Good luck with your first match and the rest of your season at Cloverhill!
Todd

Good luck to everybody down in Alabama who attends tomorrows match! You're gonna love it! And, remember; the current World Record is: 249-5x! But, we'll be shooting Indoors at Holbrook tomorrow as well, only earlier on, so we'll be trying are darndest to raise that up a tad.

Again, good luck,

Dave Shattuck

Good Luck with your indoor matches. We finally had two people shoot 250's this afternoon at our match at Holbrook. Doug Shea 250 7X and David Shattuck 250 5X Also a new springer high score by Len Sawyer 242 3X with a FWB 300 S.

Well fellows, we juct finished 1/2 of our first unlimited match here at Cloverhill, and the world record has unofficaly been tied by Kingsnake.

While we are talking I feel a need to tell all that the record has been unofficialy beaten by our new shooter Lani Cook w/ a 249/7x. This is Lani's
1st AGBR match.

Not to be out done our famed leader has finshed w/ a new WORLD RECORD of 250/10x, his head will not hold it all. Way to go Kingsnake!!

I will post again at the end of the match.

Question for Kingsnake? Does Doug Shea hold the record for 8 Hours as he shot his 250 7 X at 12:30 ? Tell Ron that David Shattuck had a big grin all afternoon with his 250 5X on target 2.

Paul

The answer is YES! all records run midnight-midnight. So his record will count as hall of fame points. Great shooting, looks like today is the MAGIC MATCH day.

We have 3 mor cards to shoot. Good luck to all who compeate tomorow.

Mark

Outstanding shoot

Well weve come to the end of the 1st Cloverhill AGBR match. I am very pleased to anounce that the world record has been beaten 3 times at one match, not to deminish anything else shot today.

All of us attending had the best time any could recall

to everyone shooting AGBR I wish the best for the rest of the season, hope to see you all at the Nationals

Y'all had my hopes up when I Kingsnake's first post. Then I read the 6PM part :(. Why the late start ??

CRB, I almost forgot about the match untill Ron called last week. With 2 companies to keep going and a total remodel of my house, time is very tight around here.

The great thig about Sat's shoot was 2 new shooters doing very well. I never dreamed that two 250's would be shot here. At the end of the match I was told to expect both at every AGBR within driving distance, now thats instant addiction.

I want to say thanks for all the support in getting this going here at Cloverhill, everyone has been great.

I never would have belived these little Airguns would be more fun to shoot than 22's or 1k, guess I was wrong.

After October, all of the matches will start at 3 or 4, I'm going to test which time will work best for us, finishing at midnight's not going to work to well for everyone.

Thanks to all

Mark

CRB, evenig matches are cooler this time of year.

The main reason MarkS is having his matches in the evening is to allow his cabient shop to cool off from the afternoon sun. I'm pretty sure his his next match will start at 4:00 pm

The 3 hour drive back home was rough for me but I have to tell you shooting indoors was really tricky for me. I'll be back to give it a go again. I was amazed how much vertical you could get on a shot and also the amount of mirage that a small lights starts putting out after a couple hours.

I would also like to congradulate Jimmy T for shooting a 250-5X on his last target.

There must have been some serious MOJO in the air Saturday both in Holbrook and at Salem.

So these ARE Mark's matches ??? In Salem and not Opelika ? Or is there also another range in Opelika?

I've just totally lost interest in building [ or trying to, anyway ], buying or maintaining a rimfire. I have gotten spoiled by having two great shooting centerfires. Just pull them out of the safe, load up ammo and shoot competitively. I am hoping an air rifle will offer the same low effort simplicity. I don't have the energy [and drive] anymore to be able to devote a lot of time [and money] to constant ammo testing as seems to be required for RF.

Air rifle is certainly easier for me

I charge my tank, grab a carton of pellets off the shelf and shoot. No more lot testing and once you have your rifle shooting pretty much go let her rip. I also like the fact I offset all my fuel cost with the price of the ammo:)
