There was some mention a while back about not leaving the firing pin in the cocked position for periods on end whe the bolt is removed from the action.
I was just wondering if there is an issue if I just turn the rear of the bolt shroud so it drops the pin into the fired position and then before inserting the bolt cocking it back so the bolt will fit into the action?
This would reduse the stress on the spring.
