Fireing pin strike

When Bill Calfee talks about poor ignition and works on the firing pin so it will strike more to the inside of the rim to get better ignation ,who does this work and who could explain how it is done. My firing pin is striking towards the outside lip of the case and I would like change that in order to get better ignition for my 54 action Anschutz. Need help if some of you are willing to give me the time to explain how it works why it should be done and who could do it and at what cost. I altered the shape of the pin with a diamond file and then polished it with a fine carbide stone.
