Files - quality?

What are you guys using these days for high quality hand files? i just bought some Nicholson files from MSC and they range from "not quite what it used to be" to pure crap. Made in Portugal, Brazil, and some place spelled "Col." (Colombia, maybe.) I also bought a Grobet file that isn't particularly sharp.

I'd be willing to pay through at least one nostril if I could just get some sharp and smooth cutting tools here. Used to be that Nicholson, Simonds, Disston, and Lenox were the US makers. Have they all gone third world on us? Even the Swiss seem to be in decline. Prices are still high though (of course.)

Would appreciate suggestions here....

Thanks, MilGunsmith. A bit pricey (what isn't these days?) but they sound good. I'll try a couple.
