FClass Nationals

Butch,

I'm sure there will be plenty of people with wifi access at the hotels. Biggest thing is waiting for the hard-working stats folks to get everything entered and checked and printed out... often long after everybody else has had dinner and a beverage or two and is ready for bed ;)

The best place to look for updates will probably be www.long-range.com on their forums. Differences between various forum software engines and their attachment restrictions make it a royal PITA to post match results in anything approaching a readable format on more than one forum.

Butch:

I will try to keep you posted. I am signed up to shoot and am a member of the North State Club who is hosting the event.

Butch,

They just upgraded the forum software (like this afternoon). Might try recovering your password and logging in again.

Butch:

Gary Whaley is doing the North State Shooting Club web site. He will be shooting FTR and hopefully updated the website daily.

F _Class Nationals 2009

Butch and others:

Today at Butner the weather could have been nicer, the rain has subsided, the temperature was delightfull. The only bad thing was the wind. After relay one and two shot the wind began to whip up 10-25mph. The course is laid out to shoot south to north. The wind was blowing predominately from the South south-west and fishtailed back and forth. There were some early clean scores shot at 300 yards. By the time we shot 500 yards the wind was a major factor. I don't know if there were any clean scores from 500 yards.

The wind reamained a major factor but was more consistent at the 600 yard line. I heard other shooters say they did better at 600 than 500. I would expect the scores to be posted fairly quickly the stats lady had her numbers keyed in.

Todays scores have not been posted yet. They may not be posted until the entire full bore match is over.

I met a lot of really nice folks.

Tomorrow we shoot 800, 900, and 1000 yards.

Wednesday is a 600 and 1000 yard practice.

The Nationals will officially begin on Thursday.

We are having a thunderstorm tonight and it may rain some more later this week.

Day 1 F- Class Nationals

The weather was cool and clear. Little wind all day. (Absolutely beautiful) I was told after the first 2 relays there were a couple of clean scores. The mirage was very apparent after 10 am. There were 4 relays and 3 matches.

The scores are being posted on Longrange dot com and the North State Shooting club Web site.

Tomorrow we will go back to 1000 yards.
