Father's Day seems reduce the crowd at airgun shoots, but for those that wanted it, we did it.
The weather was real nice, except windy as usual, with the sort of rapid direction shifts that are so common at this range. It was hard to trust the flags, with them changing directions so quickly and independently of each other so often, and I for one was "caught out" more often than not yesterday!
Anyhow, Roger Lovett is now three for three, and Tim McMurray coming on strong by abandoning his new bench gun for now and using the old Simple Simon FT rifle I built him.
Here are the aggregate scores, compiled from thirty three shot groups per shooter"
Roger Lovett- .22 cal USFT 0.609" 1st
Tim McMurray- .177 cal Simple Simon 0.638" 2nd
Matt Kellerman .22 cal USFT 0.674" 3rd
LD .22 cal USFT 0.699" 4th
Roger Lovett* .177 cal USFT 0.735" 5th
Vince Pacheco .177 cal USFT 1.173 6th
*Roger used two different guns. Interesting enough, it seems the .177 can hang with the .22's.
