It was a beautiful day for a match and the conditions looked light but switchy, real switchy. The condition was moving you a lot more than it should have and was real hard to judge and was switching so fast that it was real easy to get bit. Brad shot really well at 200 and got a well deserved win, only 2 of us stayed clean and he had a 4-x edge,a pretty good whipping. The 100 was real switchy and you had to be real patient to get x's. there was a logjam at 21-x and 20x with Mike taking the win. We have a real tough group of new shooters here that are really coming into their own. Congratulations to the winners on some good shooting in tough conditions, Especially Brad on his first agg win and his first grand win today, that's what you call kicking the door down. See ya in a couple weeks, Steve

In addition to Brad getting his first win, we had a couple junior shooter winners on Sunday. Nick and Morgan Gardener both shot a fine match with Nick coming out on top. For his efforts, he got the top prize of $30, and Morgan took home $20. The program still hasn't really gotten off the ground as this is now two matches with only Nick and Morgan. Nick did drop a point at 100 and could have let some other lucky kid take his money, but no one else showed up. Dad's, lets get those sons and daughters out to a match and see if they can eat into Nicks college fund a little. If any of you need to borrow a 30BR for your kid to shoot, let me know, it will be arranged.

Hal,

Shane will make it out there one of these days...He hasn't even had a chance to shoot his 30 Junior yet with all the baseball going on...We were down in Martinsville for a tourney this past weekend...hopefully I'll get that corrected (and his new brass ready!) before the next Fairfax match...Right now he doesn't have any games scheduled, but that could change...

Not suggesting he's going to cut into Nick's college fund - Nick is shooting VERY well! Hopefully he'll at least make it interesting...

Tom,

See if you can get both the boys to shoot the next match.

I'll Try

I always invite both, but it is up to them...My guess is that Ty will be more interested in hanging at the pool with his buds - and the girls  than hanging out with Dad and little brother, but you never know!!!

Sunday at Fairfax was an incredible day for me. After a year of honestly trying I finally won a match and to top it off I also won the Grand Agg. Did I happen to mention what an incredible day I had? Sunday started out great in the morning but like Steve Stanley said “It got real switchy” when the 100yd match started. Now, all of you that know Steve knows that he will stay neck and neck with you till the last shot. And that’s exactly what he did through out the 100yd shoot. He could of let up a little and gave me a little breathing room but oh no. He was swinging for the fences till the last shot fired. And here I thought we were friends. I want to thank David and Dean for all their help getting me setup and spending all my money. I also want to thank David for not making me ride home in the trailer. That would have been a long ride home.

Thanks again and I’ll see you in a couple of weeks,

Brad
