It was a nice day that the Fairfax Rod & Gun Club in Manassas Virginia. The day was a little bit cool, but wasn't bad. The wind wasn't too bad, but did fool many of us. David Apple, while hobbling around with a cast on one foot, pulled off a great victory. Jack Cox was just one X behind David and creedmored Jerry earlier in the match.

VFS Results

It was a good day for a match mostly good conditions for folks patient enough to wait for the conditions to come back. Dave shot very well as well as Jack and Jerry, it came down to the last match and Dave shot clean. I know you have heard of a 1 legged man in an a** kicking contest, well Dave took care of that myth as he whipped on us pretty good for a cripple, I think some credit has to go to his gun bearers Dean and Herbie, he had them hopping.Nick Gardner won the jr. shooter and his brother Morgen was 2nd, they won $30 and $20 respectively. Bring some Jr. shooters out and see if they can take this money away from Nick, he is a tough shooter,we had a good turnout with 38 guns. The 7 min. matches worked well and most everyone was on the way home by 2 pm.Thanks for the help on the match, Dick Grosbier pinch hit for Ray on stats and Hal Drake Scored, I filled in for Wayne France calling the line( he was gone chasing Turkeys)along with Shaw and Mike Morgan ran the target crewconsisting of the Gardner crew. The complete results are on the Ibs website. Congrats to all who shot well,See ya at Black creek next week, Steve

Additional thanks should also go to Bill Truitt who pitched in and helped both on scoring and stats as things were quite shorthanded in the scoring shack and Hal Drake really had his hands full.
