f/tr stocks- forend flex?

Hi Folks- havn't been on this board for a few years- before the F Class sub forum anyway. Should have been checking back more frequently I guess. Anyway, I'm glad to be back. The following has been bugging me.

Has anybody looked at forend flex as it pertains to shooting off a bipod? I'm thinking especially about F/TR. I'm running an A5 and a 1st gen. Sinclair Fpod. Total rifle weight w/ pod is 17.8 lbs. Noting the amount of deflection I get when squeezing the forend and barrel w/ one hand, I got to thinking...
 
As long as the barrel and stock don't contact, I am of the opinion that it doesn't matter all that much what the portion of the stock forward of the recoil lug really does - perhaps others can read the wind accurately enough @ 1000yds to be worrying about it, but I'm not one of them (especially after Lodi!).

If it is something you are concerned about, perhaps one of Manner's new F-Class stocks might be of interest to you. They have a special 'ridge' for lack of a better term along the bottom side of the stock to help with stiffening the overall design. Worth taking a look at, I guess.
 
Both my F/TR guns are in stocks with full alum. beds that go through the fore arm, and the rail (Bell & Carlson A-5) and the sling/bi-pod stud (H S Presicion) are mounted in the alum. I don't think I put any pressure downward that would cause any deflection, as I pull them both back into my shoulder and trap them between my cheek and right arm/hand and hold hard. I think the same could be said for my Savage 112 BT PALMA when I shot that off a bi-pod.
 
I had never thought about it before, but every once and a while I get a high shot out of the group. It's probably a load issue, but I'm trying to cross stuff off the list.
 
I thought it might be my hold, but after checking it out it doesn't seem to be. I'm thinking the load is between nodes. I'm going to back off my charge and see if things settle down.
