surge protector will solve future lightning problems. Never plug a computer directly into the wall. And if you are using phone lines for access to the outside world, protect them as well. More surge comes across phone circuits than power lines.

Hi David!
I do have surge protectors and yes, my problem is usually with the phone line side. I live on a farm and have grain bins with an 80ft elevator leg near the house. I'm convinced that has something to do with it, as the neighbors don't have too much trouble. I think I have an 80ft lightening rod.:(
