EZ glide 3m rear bag ears

I was just reading the daily bulliten on 6mmbr about the new 3m EZ glide ears on there rear sand bag. Has anyone here played with one of these bags yet? Do they make a front bag out of this material i wonder? Interesting i think. Lee

I talked with a lady at Edgewood yesterday, after seeing information on the bag on Facebook. If I remember correctly she said that the rear bags are still in testing, but I believe that front bags are in production. If you are interested, I would give them a call. I don't know if they are still offering cloth over leather ears, but if they are, I would think that that would be of interest as well.

If anyone has tried HBN on leather, it is STOS. I don't know how the leather would be if it got wet, but the HBN doesn't care.

It's so dang slick that I'm thinking about having someone transplant the ears off my old leather squeeze bag onto my Gator that has cordura ears.

Yep, HBN on leather is slicker than Eel S$^*
I would suggest rubbing a small amount on your stock tape/finish prior to using. Helps expedite that scope eye:)

According to that website, the tungsten disulfide(WS2) powder has a significantly lower coefficient of friction than the hBN. Anybody tried that yet?

I would be good with WS2 on my bullets, but not on my bags.

I agree, the tungsten disulfide (WS2) is black and not a good thing to have on your gun, bags, hands, and everything that comes in contact those . I use the WS2 to coat my bullets, but use the Hex Boron Nitride on front and rear bags.

Jerry, don't tell anyone but all my factory Savage bolts have been stripped, degreased and coated inside liberally with WS2. Dry as a bone inside and slippery=) Triggers too. Haven't reopened one in five years.
I even went so far as finger coat the outside of one plus the raceways and lug surfaces of the receiver. Ugly as all sin but its a Savage anyway. Lasted about a month and I redid it again.
Since those days I've cleaned all the ugly off and went back to standard bolt grease on the outside. One of the slickest actions I own. Is it still working at a molecular level? Darned if I know.

I would'nt dare do this to one of my custom actions but factory stuff is open for expieriments in my book.
