Greetings Everyone!

The 25 Meter results can be seen on our website http://www.phoenixairgun.net

It was a pleasure working with everyone! Kerry, Mark, your assistance was incredible. The entire 25 meter match, ran flawlessly to the minute. If I had to sum it up in one word, its "Precision". From set-up, shooting, to the scoring. I hope all that participated had fun.
This was our debut of the electronic scoring system on a large scale event. In this event we did something unheard of in benchrest history. For the "wailing wall" we printed everyone's electronic record of the targets, provided everyone with their actual targets back, and included a statistical record and graph with Olympic accuracy of shot placement, all in a convenient take home envelope. As the original target was electronically scanned, its in our permanent records, so everyone was able to take their targets home. We at our club we believe in full transparency.

Thank you to the shooters who made this event what it was.
I hope to see you soon at the Nationals!

Congratulations

Well done Garrett, sounds like it was a great competition. I see one or two Brits names there in the listings.

Is there a link to some pictures of the event?

pics etc..

Thank you Brian. Pics will come soon. Promise! I have to catch up on that bread-on-the-table thing that gets in the way of fun. Just keep checking our site! I wanted to make sure we got the scores up ASAP.

If anyone has any pics that they would like posted on the site, email them to me at phoenixairgun at gmail dot com and I'll be more than happy to post em!

Cheers,

Results

Hi Garrett,
thanks for posting the link. I have been trying to find any info on the results and it's been near impossible. While it's good to see who won, I and I'm guessing some others also would like to see "what" won. Is there any way to list the rifle and or pellet along with the results already posted? Would be great to see what folks are shooting.

Also, I have searched high and low and still can't find any results for the extreme BR. Am I missing something (usually I am).

Thanks for any info,

Regards,

John

Garrett, is Orion going to sell/update their product for the 25m air rifle BR target format? Or is that something proprietary you worked on with them? There a number of clubs and individual represented here that would probably be interested in this. Thanks,

Casey

Electronic scoring system

The electronic scoring system we used is by Orion. We approached them earlier in the year to develop this product for our sport. On our first call, they were eager to work with us in getting this product to market. They had the reputation and foundation in place to move forward. Since then, we have been working with them very very closely in Beta testing the product. It may be soon available to the public, as we are in the final phases of perfecting it. We brought them the current 25 meter and 50 yard airgun benchrest targets, and they were able to adapt these into the electronic format, with Olympic caliber accuracy. The scoring system is specifically designed for the unique rule structure of the WRABF. In addition, the target dimensions are precisely duplicated from the original format so as there is a seamless transition that everyone is familiar with. It was developed and calibrated for the unique challenges that shooting paper with a domed-head projectile face. The big test for us was the Extreme to determine if the equipment was able to handle a large scale event. With all eyes on this, this was the sh** or get off the pot moment for electronic scoring. Well needless to say, it exceeded all of our expectations. We will never look back. The bar has been raised.

Is the 2014 National Match going to be run in the same format as the 25M EBR Match. Mixed relays? LV, HV, Open class shooters all on the line at the same time?

At a match of this size it usually ends up that unless there are an extreme number of shooters, like over 80 which would force 3 relays, (and, although I hope I'm wrong, I doubt there will be more than 80) you can shoot each of the Classes of 3 targets in less than half a day. And, where there will be 5 different Classes contested: Spring Piston, LV, HV and Open all @ 25M plus Open @ 50Y means that more than likely there will be several shooters wanting to compete in more than one Class, if not all of 5, which will take the mixing of Classes being shot at the same time right out of the picture.

The way I see it, where Saturday the shooting will take place between 7 A.M. and 7 P.M., the first 3, if not all 4 25M Classes should easily be able to be shot with the one or, if necessary, two Open Classes taking place on Sunday.
