extractor replacement on Panda bolt?

While cleaning & re-lubeing the bolt tonight, I was looking thru a 10x eye loupe for a piece of brass on the bolt face. I noticed that the extractor has a crack along its width, just behind where it slips over the rim of the case. The panda was originally chambered for a PPC, but now is a 6BR. Can I just order a replacement, or is this something that needs to be fitted by a gunsmith? The extractor is currently working just fine, but could be something that may come apart at a most inopportune time. Thanks for your feedback.

Panda Extractor

Call Jim or Hobie and Kelbys thay can help you out. Very nice folks. The extractor has a small cone shaped detent with a protruding point that can be pushed down with a small punch or paperclip. The extractor slides in and out with the detent pushed in. Be careful there is small spring below the detent. Don't do this operation over carpet or outside.

Be prepared this little part is about $30.00.

I dont know about using a paperclip, as the extractor springs that I have had to compress are very stiff. I always use the largest drill bit shank that will fit in the detent hole and push like heck while sliding the extractor out of the way..............Don

I took my extractor out to polish a small burr.

Put the end of the bolt in a madium size plastic bag so the bit's don't go flying. Poke a punch through the bag wall and depress the plunger through the hole in the extractor, slide the extractor in towards to centre and it will all come apart.

I used a Wilson PPC decapping rod as a punch to depress the plunger, the spring wasn't very stiff.
