Extra barrels for TM1000

If you ordered multiple barrels, how much did these extras cost? Or did you go aftermarket? I'd like to get a shorter barrel for sub 12fpe/LV class shooting - wondering if it would just be cheaper to have the standard barrel chopped than buy a new one? Or perhaps sell the standard long one and then get a shorter one.... if you've done this I'd be curious to get your thoughts.

I have one on the way and can't wait!

TM1000 barrels

Fitting a new barrel to the TM1000 requires a bit of machining so unless you can do it yourself you'll need to find someone to do it. A Lothar Walther blank is a little over $100.00 but then if you want it to look nice it either has to be sleeved, blued or painted. You could end up pretty close to the price of a new one from RAW. Can't you just tweek the regulator and spring and get it down?

I will certainly try with the existing barrel. But I know they've been working on better lock times with shorter barrels and shorter hammer strokes. Hence my questions about getting a different barrel fitted. But you are right...it may cost just as much to have one done.
