Anybody shooting these? I'm interested to find out if they like to jump a little or if they prefer to be seated in the lands.

Thanks, Jim

Afraid that the only way to know FOR SURE is to..................... Bang bang...

Your barrel(s) will tell ya... Wether 6, 7, 7 1/2, 8 ogive etc... experimenting by seating the ogive to Jump or In lands..
IMOP.. >GOOD< bullets don't care... Ok well what I mean is within a reasonable range of throat seating depth.. Again, IMOP... From around .008 in the lands to as far as .020 jump...

Typically like most, I like a very light mark on the bullet.... But... In cut 4 groove barrels, I find that seating juuuust off a mark, say .002 off the mark tunes REAL well and Important to me... I can chamber a round and remove it without disterbing the seating depth.... Good during the HOT summers day matches and hot chambers... If ya gotta stop, you can back that round out without cooking the round or inducing more heat in the chamber by firing it in a cease fire... Not to mention sticking the bullet and dumping powder.... Bummer.

The Euber dies that made these bullets more than likely produce very tolerant bullets .... Good guys as I call'em.! If you have these bullets on hand, head off to the range soon as ya can.. If your thinking on a purchase, Buy'em...!

Honestly a 1/2 to 1/3 deep land mark as the lands width should get you to a steady tune.. Little powder fiddling but a competitive tune should be found with this seating depth.

good luck,
cale

I dont shoot any of thier 6mm bullets but both Euber brothers shoot our local matches quite a bit and when they bring thier 6mm's one can usualy over hear them talking about that majical square mark from the lands left on that bullet after chambering. Plus quite often thier rifles make quite a bit larger boom than most others on the range, i think thier the only guys i know that have a 12 inch drop tube for thier powder mesure, lol. All in fun, great bullets, my rifle loves the .30 115's

I just loaded up a 60 round batch of these 67gr bullets. This will be the first firing in a search for the load/seating sweet spot. Being a green-horn, my results may not be something to run to the bank with. We'll see.

Well to the range we go later today, I have loaded up a ladder test with them and a "proven" load that was given to me. I will shoot the ladder first @ 200 then if all signs are normal I will shoot the "proven" load and will report back. I seated them all .010" in like the Berger's I shot in the past.......mistake.......we'll see.
