If I may ask , my apologies in advance if this question is out of line , but is Berger , or do they intend , on using boron nitride as a coating on bullets ?

Thanks for any info you can share .

No apologies needed

Jim,

Sorry to take so long to respond. Berger will not offer bullets with boron nitride coating. The moly coating roller coaster has been enough of an adventure for us. We are not exploring the benefits of any other lubricant.

I do not know anything about boron or Danzac so our lack of offering these products should be no reflection on if they work or not.

I shoot moly and I believe that there are applications where a lubricant applied to the bullet is a benefit. I am not sure that one lube stands out over another and I am sure that no one has done enough to determine that there is clearly an advantage by using one lubricant over another.

Those who say that there is a significant difference either have not done thorough controlled testing to prove this or have a personal reason for promoting one over another.

BUY MOLY BULLETS (see what I mean):)

Eric

No apologies

needed on your end either . I appreciate you taking valuable time to answer a question at all .

I also think that no one has done enough controlled testing to be able to say one way or the other . That is why n I am asking around to find out if there are test results available and what is indicated by those tests .

From what I have been able to research the boron nitride is several orders more slippery than the moly and is able to withstand extreme heat / pressure situations better .

So many choices , so little time .

Thanks again ,
Jim Brown
