We had our first match of the year 3/25/09. Still just Arlin and I, the dinosaurs at our club still think that an air gun has Red Ryder written across it! It was a bit chilly, breezy and a little rainy but we had a good time commiserating about the ill effect of the wind on our otherwise perfect shooting ability. By next month it should at least warm up a bit so we will only get wet and not wet and cold.

Good shooting!

Good results! Holbrook goes outside next month after several months of indoor shooting. I'm sure we will have similar stories.

Would you mind including what type of guns and pellet size? I always wonder what other people are shooting.
 
Arlin used an Anschutz in the match class and a FWB P70FT for unlimited, both .177. I believe JSB Heavy's in the P70FT. I used a FWB P70 Junior in
.177 in the match class and a Styer HP100 with a Lothar Walther .20 barrel for unlimited. I use JSB Exacts in both.

Yea, the wind really blows the pellets around in the match guns, the extra 300 fps from the unlimited guns really makes a difference.

Do you guys shoot at night or in the daylight? I finally got our club to allow us to have our airrifle matches at night.
By the way those are good scores even with the wind.

Evening Matches

We start about 5:30, that's as soon as I can get there after work. Seems the boss does'nt recognize air gun matches as reasonable excuse to miss work, go figure.
