I was loading for my varmint gun yesterday using my RCBS electronic powder scale combo outfit and noticed that the powder levels didn't look right in the cases. So I got out my old Lyman beam scale and started comparing weights (like a dummy I’d never done that before.) The first thing that I noticed was that the Lyman beam scale was consistently .2 grains LOWER across the board than the electronic scale. Secondly, every time I closed the plastic dust cover over the scale it would change the reading. As long as I left the dust cover alone and off to the side, the weighed charges of powder seemed very consistent when compared to the Lyman beam scale. I load in the garage where I have a gas heater and it's been very cold and dry here in NC lately and I suspect static electricity as the culprit here. When I removed the large plastic tube that holds the powder quite a bit of the H322 was sticking to the sides of it. Anybody ever experience this?
