Egg Shoot at 1,000 Yards - Reade Range

The Reade Range 1000 Yard Benchrest League held an "Egg Shoot" on Saturday, Sept. 29, 2012. Congratulations to Leif Brown and Tom Podolinsky for breaking an egg from 1,000 yards. Leif broke an egg on his third attempt.

Congrats gentlemen!! Details, details! What type of gun etc. please.
 
Tom Podolinsky was shooting a 6.5 x 284. I'll try to get the information on Leif Brown's gun
 
Thank you. I'm building, (having build), a precision rifle in 6.5 Creedmoor. I initially was going with the .65-284 but the barrel life kinda scared me off. And I'll be shooting more at the 200-400 yard range anyway. Here in Ct. I don't think any ranges even go out to 400, just 200 yards. I do go to Pa. 3 or 4 times a month so I joined a club there that has a 400 yard range.
