Well, got my Turbo back todayfrom Gordon.Shot one target about 30 degrees score 250-16x with two different ammo's I truly think my ol yankee buddy has figured out something out on these rimfires. I think this punkin is gonna be a keeper. He told me the trick I know what he calls it but ya'll will have to ask where he gets it. It's all in the special LUBE thats all I can say............. but anyway thanks Gordon for a great job............

PS Is PUNKIN gonna be her name????????????????

Gary,

Did he build you a sporter or a 10.5 lb rifle? Gordon does have something figured out. He is quietly, consistently, building winners in that little yankee shop of his.

Gordon Eck

He`s done a couple for me and is a real stickler for perfection!
When it`s done it is going to be a shooter or you won`t get it until it is!
Thank You Gordon!
Pete

I second what everyone has said about Gordon and his work. I had not shot a 250 all year 'till Gordon replaced my barrel. In not the best of conditions I shot five targets, three 250s one 249 and one 248, all with nice high X counts.

Info

Can you guys give me a Phone # or a way of contacting Mr. Eck? I've been hearing a lot about how good his Sporters shoot lately and want to speak to him about one. Thanks, Tony

I'm new to this game, but have suspected that it was all in the lube. I would be willing to pay extra for shipment in heated vans to maintain the lube at what after extensive testing/discussion on this board we determine is the perfect temperature.;)

Gary can that lube be shipped North in the winter?

Mel, I think that stuff is made up north, I think it's about all used up. By the way Gordon talked it's pretty hard to come by. If he used it all up on my Turbo, come spring it should be worth a small fortune. If I win the first PSL match I will start taking bids on it!!!!!!!

Hi All,
I hope that someone can enlighten me here. I was under the impression that any manipulation of the ammo is strictly against the rules for all of the rim fire disciplines. I have avoided lubricating my bullets as a result. I hope that I am wrong here as the cheaper ammo shoots much better with it on.
thanks,tim

Tim---No one said the special lube was applied to the ammo. It's used a different way. No special shipping needed as it won't "croak" on the way.

Thanks for the info Tom.....I tend to be a bit dense at times. tim

I think it,s goose grease. I am sure where he gets it too!!:D

I am really enjoying my Eck smithed rifle. It keeps getting better and better all the time. Thanks Gordon for a job well done. By the way Merry Christmas to you and yours. garrisone.
