Is it bad to dry fire one of these?

What should I do to check the trigger adjustment?

Most people say use a fired case.

Handy to rotate it after every couple of pin drops so there's still cushioning there.

It really shouldn't unless the firing pin is too long. A Turbo has a mechancal stop that should stop the firing pin before it does damage. Assuming it is properly installed.
