DPMS 6.8spc conversion??

Hello all. I have an opportunity to get my hands on a DPMS 6.8 spc 16" in like new condition for a fairly good deal (@$950). The problem is I have absolutely no interest in this caliber. I got to thinking that with the modular design, it may be possible to change it over to 5.56.

What would I have to purchase to do this??? Would I be better off just passing on the deal and purchaseing a new DPMS in 223?
 
All you would need to change to .223 is a barrel, bolt and magazines. Or you could build another upper assembly and have a "2 in 1" gun.
