Howard Prince Memorial Gun Range in Pioneer, LA will be hosting our ARA club tournament on Saturday, July 16th followed by the Louisiana State ARA tournament on Sunday, July 17th. The club tournament will begin at 9:00 AM with bench drawing at 8:00 AM. The state tournament will begin at 8:00 AM with bench drawing at 7:00 AM. The range, which has 20 benches and a large, air conditioned club house, will be open for practice on Friday afternoon. Lunch will be provided for both events (home cookin' on Saturday and hamburgers/hotdogs on Sunday).
The nearest place to stay is at Oak Grove Inn & Suites in Oak Grove, LA which is about 11 miles from the range. As of today they have 16 rooms available for the Friday & Saturday nights. You can make reservations online at www.oakgroveinnandsuites.com or call (318) 428-2088. Second option for accommodations is the Best Western on LA Hwy 2/US Hwy 165 in Bastrop, LA (about 25 miles from range) (318-556-2800). Third option would be in Delhi, LA which also has a Best Western (318-878-5126) on Interstate 20 approx. 29 miles from range.
Directions from Oak Grove, LA:
Take LA Hwy 17 south for approx. 5.5 miles, turn right onto Forest Cemetery Road and follow it for 4.5 miles to tee intersection, turn left on McLemore Road and go 1 mile, turn right onto Prince Road. Range will be on the right.
Directions from Bastrop, LA:
Take LA Hwy 2 east for approximately 19 miles, turn right onto LA Hwy 585 in Goodwill, LA and follow it for 1.7 miles, turn left onto Prince Road. Range will be on the left in approx. 5 miles.
Directions from Delhi, LA:
Take LA Hwy 17 north for approximately 23 miles, turn left onto Forest Cemetery Road and follow it for 4.5 miles to the tee intersection, turn left on McLemore Road and go 1 mile, turn right onto Prince Road. Range will be on the right.

Based on the interest we've been getting, this looks to be a pretty big match so load up and come join us. Also, our range has recently built a high/low house shotgun range so, if you're interested, bring your shotgun and have some more fun after the match.
