dot or crosshair for 600yds?

I need some advice on where a dot or crosshair is best for shooting 600yds?

Does the dot obscurer to much of the target, which would make the crosshair a better option?

The scope in question is a Leupold 45X BR. Caliber 6mm Dasher. I would go a Nightforce, but weight is a issue!

I personally would re-consider using the Leupy, not because of quality but because of magnification, I do not want to be stuck with only 1 specific power. there are other scopes to think about, but that is just my opinion, that said, I would also use a dot, I think it would be easier to center on the target with out a complete block out of the center of the target.
