At a big match with full bench use on each relay, you might be fine without flags since you would normally expect every other person there to have and use them. That would have you in between two (hopefully) people with flags.
Unless you get and 'end' bench. Or the shooter on each side could have horribly bad flags. (After shooting with MY flags, I hate shooting with some one else's)!
I know you know this already, but you should have your own flags and never shoot without them, it's a waste of good bullets you know.
If I had a Chet Amick (25X) rifle, I'd still use flags.

don't get personal. he is one great guy. i just met him today and can say he is a stand up fella. he put on a top notch match and shot very very well without a flag one. and believe me the wind was kinda crazy there today!!!! the targets he shot made me very humble and i respect his shooting ability after what i saw him shoot today!!!!!

I hope Mr Beau would not take it personnel, it was intended for fun. We're on different sides of the track most of the time but for some reason i like the guy. Mr Beau i think you got even me by a couple of pounds, not many though, lol. joe

yep!! he had several gold stars today!!!! man it was a blast!!! jackie has a great set up at his place for sure!!!!! it must be nice to be able to live there!!!jackie got a few gold stars as well with the rifle he biult!!!! can't wait for next month now!!!!!!

jGee, note that it's a four legged heavy drummer's stool so I wouldn't take it personal. Besides the camera adds 200lbs.
It looks great Mike, even better with a little sun. Looking at the stock is like looking at a mirror. Great job. I highly recommend you.

from what i saw today the rifle and the shooter complement each other. if i had thuaght about it i would have got a picture in the sun for beau.

I've won matches without my windflags. Not because I didn't want to use windflags, but I left the damn things at home accidentally. I looked at my competitors windflags and just got lucky a couple of matches.
That said, if you want to be a consistent winner, you gotta have some good sensitive windflags.
