opinions please.
If you dial your parallax back and forth you can pick up mirage @ different yardages (I guess this is most apparent on 600-1000yd ranges)
So, if you're shooting through the mirage at 500-600yds....... and you've checked, you KNOW there's a wicked berm at 150yds that's shimmering like a swimming pool....... do you feel that it affects your shots?
Reason I ask.... in 100-200 I try to use the "snap-back" to figure out where the target is but sometimes at 600 there's no bounce or snap-back. Sometimes there's a pretty clear sight picture with the blueball kinda' randomly wandering around like a mouse in a box. All I know to do is fight for return to battery. Or cling to the gun like a limpet and try to hold it because there's no way to know where the target is..
Or IS there?
Does anyone have a method?
How many dial through the mirage checking at different yardages?
