Dirty cleaning rod caddy

Hey, guys....The thought just hit me that even though I wipe the cleaning rods off after each pass, there has to be some mung in the caddy. I sprayed some carb cleaner down the tubes and got a lot of crap out. Followed up with some simple green and water. This is just something I never thought about and wanted to pass it along.

Two years ago, I put a pair of coated rods away a trifle "damp."

When I took 'em out of the case at the Supershoot, the coating peeled off.

They were not Deweys.
