Devcon vs Steel bed

alf

Huh?
I've used quite a bit of Brownells Steel Bed in the past, and have been comfy using it.

Question is, does the Devcon offer an advantage over Steel Bed to be worth the extra moola, and does it have a reasonable shelf life. I'm thinking on getting the 4 pounder, but might not use it up for a couple years. Mostly for varmint, hunting applications, but my new 1000yd. stock hammer needs bedding.

Thanks,

Al

There is no advantage to using Devcon vs any other quality bedding compound..I have had a 4lb kit for 18-20 years using a little to bed with and If kept in a controlled atmosphere (55-85 degrees) it will be the same everytime it is used...I like the Devcon products but the F2 is better for bedding in my opinion...

I've been using the Devcon 10110 for a while now but I hear that Brownells Steel Bed is the same stuff. The last 1Lb can of 10110 I purchased, last week, was $35.00 and change.
