Hi.
My name is Janne and I have bought an Deon March scope for benchrest shooting here in Sweden.
I'm just curious if someone here got some experiense (usage) of Marchscope in "cold" (degree of frost) wintershooting.
Any problem with the scope

The scope seems to be very reliable

Sorry for my not so good English.

Hi Janne.

No problem from mine in cold weather, but here, cold weather is 35F.

We are talking about 10-14 degrees Fahrenheit :)

Ok.

I'm just curious if anyone got experience of shooting March scope in cold weather.

I'm sure that March is reliable and well manufactured.
But we have just a little cold here in Sweden in the Winter :)

Thanks anyway

Many years ago in Calgary there was winter matches . It got QUITE cold some days -the match was supposed to be called off if it went below -25 degrees. I can remember a few times when you really did not want to know how cold it was.
Then finally all the benches were closed in and two gas heaters were fired up behind the benches. Even then sometimes Shooters Choice cleaning solution would freeze in the bottle if not modified. You had a 15 " square window to shoot through with front of the scope outside - it was interesting.

Some scopes were a bit hard to adjust in the extreme temperatures but a Siebert-leupold 32 X conversion worked fine - just set the a.o. where there is no parallex regardless of the marks .

So I am positive that some one in Canada -Denmark etc. has or will test out a March scope in colder weather than you should be out shooting in with out any problems.

I have just order one 10-60 x 52 March scope.
(I have one March 50 x 52BR before for LV in summer)
I'll came back and tell you all how it works in the Swedish winter ;)

It is not cold here all the time, but in Januari - March it can be at worse -15 degrees.
Ordinary it's only 0 - -5 degrees.

Looking forward to shoot with my March scopes.
I will put in on the top of my Sako TRG 22 with Krieger (1-8) 6mm XC boarder
Very nice combination with good result.

I have been shooting here in Sweden with my Deon March scoop 10-60 x 52BR since oktober-2008.
It is superb even in cold weather.
This is the best scoop I have used.

Much better than my Zeiss scoops.

I'm a little curious of the new one 36-55 x 52BR.
Anyone know when it comes for sale on the market.
I think that the zoom possibility is my need.
