It started out as a pretty good day, low wind and not much mirage. By noon it was real switchy and the mirage over "Lake NTSA" was real bad. Charles Huckabee has done real well in the run to the 4 gun. The turnout was great and we seen some new faces and some not so new faces that havent been to Denton in a while. The west texas contingent showed up this time in force. Houston and the north west texas group made their usual good showing. Pretty much the whole Shilen clan showed up, 4 in total. We even have some from Arkansas and Oklahoma. The one competitor I couldnt be more proud of today is a good friend of mine, Wade Hull. He is the new major owner of Shilen barrels along with Mikel Shilen. He is basically a new shooter this year and is doing great this weekend. He missed a HV win by .0009 against Huckabee which is no small feat. We all need to keep on eye on him tomorrow. Lets hope this didnt jinx him. Even Jackie is doing pretty well this time
