Dealing with short eye relief

Using the very high magnification scopes, eye relief becomes VERY short. Any hints on dealing with it? Just keep your head srtaight?

I had a couple of Lymans bumped up such that the eye relief was a problem shooting centerfire rifles free recoil. Just about the time my eyebrow healed a bit I would get careless and open it back up. Pretty sure you're talkin' about sight picture and the way to deal with that is to tune out every bitty bit of parallex and in time it won't be a bother. In other words, you'll get used to it.

It sounds like you are talking about exit pupil rather than eye relief. If that is the case, it gets easier with experience.
