Daystate CRX BR Metal Stock

I have been intrigued by metal stocks ever since the article on Shelley Davidson's Tinker Toy [ on 6br.com { RIP Shelley }]. Glass bedding a stock is the worst chore for me, I just hate the whole task. I made a metal stock to fit a Rem 40 and am pretty happy with it so I decided to do something for my CRX.

I like to have the trigger guard free hanging as I place my thumb on the back of the TG to keep the rifle pushed against the forend stop and also as a reference to the trigger location. On most of the highend airguns the stock is either a thumbhole design or a pistol grip. Not ideal for BR.

I fired the gun in the backyard today and in light but switchy winds I fired a 244-4x and a 246-6x so I am pretty happy. I probably haven't fired this gun 300 times even counting our match back in Nov so I still have a lot to pick up on when it comes to the airgun. I did relearn to NOT SHOOT when the flags are totally still. I probably lost 4 points by making this mistake.

Ray, I'm going to be honest with you with my opinion. I know it's all about a better score but; that has got to be one of the ugliest air rifles (if you can call it one) I've ever seen , even the USFT looks better than that .:D kirby

Ray,
I like it. When you get it how you want it maybe Anodize it Red like your Farley Rest. A big plus, it fits in a lot smaller case.

If you feel that way then you will be unhappy to learn that I just ordered several 100 count boxes of stainless steel socket head screws so I don't have do go down to the Ace and spend .45 to .75 cents per screw.

My rimfire/centerfire stock is a little more photogenic.

They say that "beauty is in the eye of the beholder". I think that it is purty in its on way.

On the rests my CRX stock is 'invisible'. You don't even know it's there unlike the factory stock which fights you the whole time. I am definitely a 'form follows function' guy.
