Davis optical booster

Has anyone had experience with the Davis optical booster? It seems like a good way to go for more magnification without alot of expense.

I have bought several of Gene Davis's boosters. Although he offers others I only have the leupold on March ones. They are great. It is definately worth it.

Thanx, I ordered the 3X with the rubber shroud that will fit all my scopes. Seems like a good way to go.

Got 2 one on T36 on VFS rig the other I use on T24 factory varmit rig & VFS 30BR/T36, well pleased with both,
 
I Have one ordered, will post results soon.......

I hope that I am as pleased as the folks on this board is with theirs!

Davis 3X booster

I have a 3X booster for my Sightron 24 power. It does exactly what Gene said it would do. He was very prompt with servicing my order. I would consider buying another for my Lepould 36 power.

I have one on a Weaver T36. It does a fine job at boosting the power of the scope. How else can you boost the power of your scope by a third for just a hundred bucks. I've seen no loose in clarity, just ever so slightly darker.

The down side is that you will now have to hold your eye closer to the scope and the crosshairs will be larger as they are boosted also.

My wife uses it on her competition gun and won't depart with it.
 
I just received my 3X optical booster and must admit it is a very nice piece of equipment. I put it on one of my scopes and the clarity and resolution are definitely top shelf. I will try it out later in the week at the range and report back.

3x means 3x what your scope is

They have slip on eye piece now. My elite 6500 is the 2.5 to 16. So this would change it to 7.5to 48???? No it must mean it adds 3x to it?
 
The 3X booster did not work for me. I tried it on 6 scopes. I can't adjust the crosshairs to clear. I'm not trying to knock the product, I just have to be honest.

The great thing about Gene is that if for some reason it doesn't suit you you can send it back for a full refund.

Gene offers both a rubber-cupped model which is a fairly universal fit and lenses fitted to a machined/threaded ring which screws into several commonly used BR scopes.

Those for whom they DO work are delighted with them.
