Hallo from Italy! This is my first time in the forum...I have a personal question: Does somebody know if Dave Tooley is ok? I have no news from him since long time, and it is two years he skip the Super Shoot. He made some wonderfull rifles for me in the past, but now me and friend are waiting others since long time and he doesn't answer mails and phone. Sorry for my English, it is what it is:D. Thanks, Americo;)

Please, no need to apologize for your English!!! It's MUCH better than my Italian :) and this is a worldwide forum.

I hope you correspond with Dave soon.

Thanks, if you have another chance to get in touch with him, let him know that I am trying hard to have news from him. I am moving in France for a br shoot, I 'll see the forum on Monday...bye

Americo could be your contact info for Dave is out dated.
Maybe Charles could help you out with some new info. I dont have it.

Sorry Pigman, I didn't see your reply before La Fare. Wind was great and the best won as usual in bench rest....Good luck for the next things you have to face and see you in the spring on the bench!!!!Bye

Hi Americo,

Got up with Dave. He's been busier than an overworked gunsmith -- well, come to think of it, he IS an overworked gunsmith.

Anyway, he'll be getting in touch with you.

If Alberico Pucci is shooting any benchrest these days, and if you run into him, say "Hi" from me. I think Alberico is shooting mainly 300 meter ISU these days, but he too has a LV Dave built for him.

Ciao,

Charles Ellertson

Thanks Charles, I look forward to be contacted from Dave, I know he is owerwelmed, I hope he can find 5 minutes for me. I also try by phone but it looks he don't care it too much.....
I imported the Alberico's LV, but he never shoot br, even if I try to drag him into...
Bye

As to the telephone

Like lot of one-man shops, Dave doesn't always answer the phone. He does have a machine. Best time to call is between 4 and 5 PM, (U.S.) Eastern time. And never on Friday. Even so, he's out of town a fair bit; Hornaday and Accuracy International are among his customers. In my experience anyway, bigger companies always seem to be needy.

For the absolutely fastest response, you might try bribery -- I'm sure he & Liz would welcome a week in Italy:)

Thanks again, I will try at the time suggested. About bribes...one of the friend that is waiting those rifles has one of the best hotels in the Dolomites and my occupation is to transfer people there, so Dave and Liz would be welcomed here, even if my friend is not in the right mood at the moment because he sent a lot of money to Dave about three years ago and the rifles are not coming; also Dave never write me or him to apologize. The porpuse of my trying to get in touch is not only to have my rifle, but, more important, to help all the friends involved (included Dave) to end up with those trouble...Thanks a lot.
