Hi Shooters /

Does anyone have any info on what the action is made of for CZ453 w set trigger - A gunsmith told me they are made of alloy sleved then pickled which gives the fine sandpaper appearance. If this is the case then Brno has downgraded its quality compared to what they used to be.

Does anyone know if this is true ? keen to find out any info .

Boy, mine doesn't look like that and it shoots excellent groups! CZ ads say the $52 & 453 actions are made of steel billets, not tubing or plastic. I didn't even need to bed it! The trigger is adjusted as a standard trigger and it is light and crisp! If it is for competition I won't comment, but for field shooting it is great! Mine shot a .166" group at 50 meters, so what more do I want from a 17 HMR.

I couldn't be happier with the quality so far.

Nice Rig Mr D/

Thank for your info - they (Brnos) are very accurate it is just the finish is rough like fine wet & dry sandpaper very hard to oil with rag. Just wanted some info to see if anyone knew exactly what the action is made of CZ call it nickled finish not as good as blued action.
