I have a CZ 527 varmint with a laminated stock in 223Rem. and I would like to know if there are torque specification on the action screws

I have two CZ527's in wood stocks. I used 40 in-lbs on both of them before I bedded them - still use 40 in-lbs after bedding them. The CZ screws are metric, smaller than 1/4" so I didn't go as high as 60 in-lbs.

Thanks at will give me a starting point. I contacted CZ last week and still haven't heard from them yet.

The guard screws on the 527 are 5 mm, and something like 35 in lb should be a great plenty for them. If you decide to pillar bed the action I've found that "lamp nipples" which are available in hardware stores in various lengths make great pillars for these actions. They're threaded on their exteriors so they give the bedding compound something to hang onto, and they're large enough inside that the 5 mm screws have plenty of clearance.

Since they're inside the stock nobody can see how ugly they are either. :D
