CZ 452 thread pitch

Does anyone know the thread pitch on the CZ 452 actions?
Also would it be feasible to take a 'truing' cut across the top of the threads and chase the threads into standard...i.e. not metric.

Thanks,
Dwight

CZ Pitch

G'day Dwight

The pitch on my CZ 452 (BRNO Model 2) is 1.25mm. This equates to 20.32 TPI.
You could re-chase it to 20.5 TPI but you would have to open out the Dia quite a bit. The pitch error is arround .0004 per pitch so for 20 pitches would be 8 thow.

Just out of interest why would you want to recut it to Inch anyway? It's no more trouble to cut metric threads than it is to cut inch.
Sounds a bit metriphobic to me.. :D :D

Thanks for the answer! You might say I am a bit metriphobic. :) I can cut metric threads...I have cut metric threads...but I hate cutting metric threads. It's that whole changing out the gears, leaving the half nuts engaged, powering down against a shoulder, backing out kind of hate.
Thanks again for the reply
Dwight
