anyone know anything about chem-kut 9025? there is a local guy that wants to sell me some. 100bucks for 5 gallons. I guess the 5 gallans will make 30 gallons of final cutting oil once cut. Can i run this oil in a flush system? Any info before i spend the cash? thanks Lee

This a a water soluble hybrid. They work pretty well if;

1) you can flood the cutting area..Not much for squirt and leave like we do for reaming chambers and threading.

2) these are designed for enclosed CNC machines where high speed is the norm and oils would fill the air with EPA condemning mists.

3) this is a "green" item and anything green is a compromise.

4) If it is EPA approved, don't use it!!!

Stick with a good sulfur based oil.

can you pump sulfer based oils through a barrel flush system? the stuff i have looks pretty thick. lee

+1 for dark threading oil & muzzle flush system

I'm having no trouble pumping a blend of Ridgid Dark Threading Oil and Tap Magic at 40psi. Lubs extreamly well and flushes chips effectively. It'll depend on your pump and HP available.

I dont think i can, but i am hoping the flush pump on my new Grizzly G0509G will work as a barrel flush as well as what it was originaly intended. Not sure it will but my fingers are crossed. My lathe will be here next week. Lee
