Current take on leupold fixing tucker scopes

I know this goes back and forth but im amassing quite a stack of bad tucker 36x scopes. Now i need scopes repaired. Who can I turn to? No frozen scope discussion please.

Why not Cecil Tucker. That would certainly be my first choice. If it is an issue with his conversion I am sure he will take care of it . If a Leupold issue I have been told he removes his conversion, returns them to Leupold for warranty repair then reinstalls his work.

BTW I have never heard of a stack of bad Tuckerized scopes. I have owned several and never had one go bad. I have a lot of friends with them and never heard of one going bad as far as tracking is concerned.

Does anyone have a Cecil Tucker address? I have a scope that needs some TLC. I tried an email address I found but no reply.

Thanks

I was surprised too Dick. Thats why I bought so many of em over the years- especially when the marches came out. I collected a bunch at that time. Maybe the O rings have gone bad that he installed but they definitely are bad, verified by others better than I

I guess like many of us older guys, the Leupolds are showing their age. Are these 36X's or LCS models?

I was not aware Cecil changed any O'Ring in 36's I thought he just added the spring, not saying you are wrong I just never knew it. Have you tried to contact him? I have heard a wide variety of stories on how Leupold handles modified scopes from they returned untouched, and returned repaired, but un modified to a recent thread here that said if you talk to them nice they will repair and leave modifications alone as long as they are not causing the problem. Their official stand on repair of modified scopes changes from time to time as well

I think the whole point in the modification is the o ring on the erector tube. Heard the spring was unnecessary

+2..........I`ve owned nearly a dozen..... with "T`s" conversion and never had a problem.....????

Gawd

Why doesn't such a fine company like Leupold just build a competition scope that works...like the old Timex watch? March certainly proved them wrong that such a scope would be too expensive.
