Way to go, Guys. Ron, is that the first 250 with a sporter on that range? Good shooting.
Kieth, You did yourself proud. Hope to see you soon.

Jim,

Bill Myers shot a 250 with his sporter, smithed by Myers, two years ago.

Keith,

Congrats, looks like you swept up about everything in sight.

Ron,

Sorry we missed the show, always fun watching you and Fiddler. Good shooting too.

Crawfish Shoot

We had a great shoot and the weather cooperated well considering all of the rain that we had in 3 days previous. I want to say THANKS, first of all, to all who showed up for the shoot in spite of the weather and the economy. Then, I want to thank Doug Weeter and Ruth Hawkins for all computer support. They worked hard to provide us with the results as fast as possible. The guys that did the scoring, Wendell Dean, Phil Deese, Craig Young, and Tommy Wood, an outstanding job! Then the Referees, Bill Hinegardner, Todd Banks, Steve Lloyd, Ernie Jenderko, Doug Bell and Jim Pherson, with Cliff Keesee as an alternate, couldn't have asked for a better team. The target team, Tom and Brenda Aldridge, Steve Hanna, and Tim Miller who helped with frame set up and take down, and lastly Don Hawkins who ran the alternate relay while I was shooting. All weekend long it seemed that all of the shooters offered assistance whenever needed and that helped make things run smooth and almost seamless. Fresh shrimp and crawfish supplied and cooked by the Oyster Co-Op, we consumed 45 lbs. of shrimp and 25 lbs. of crawfish. All in all, we had a great shoot, and a good weekend with friends and I thank all who participated. Thumper

Crawfish

Is there a equipment list? What type of barrels and ammo?Anyone using the J&J slide? Are the Shilen Rachets shooting well?Any Broughton barrels. Thanks Elmer

This years Crawfish has again set a Standard that a lot of Ranges could use as an outline on how to run a Great Match.
Thanks to all who made this possible!
Now for my ‘Screw-Up’
I just noticed that only some of the Sporter Equipment was put in the Scoring Program.

For those Interested in all the Scores I posted them on Rimefire Benchrest.
Here's a Link.

I would also like to thank Wayne Smith for rebuilding my 40X which enabled me to out shoot the Majority of the Calfee rifles that were present.:D

I guess it's an accomplishment within itself to outshoot the majority of the Calfee rifles that were present and not win. That says a lot.

You can’t go around saying things like that.
Some people might get the idea that the shooters ability has something to do with the end result. We all know it’s all about the gun and to win you must have an expensive state of the art gun. That’s what I tell my wife.

I just want to sit mine on the bench, have a coke and piece of fried chicken while it does the work, then collect the prize.

Thanks for having us again in J'ville!! I had a great time. Congratulations to all the winners.

Did Kieth have his Don Ho shirt on? :D
